Reframing Health from the Skin Out
A turning point: instead of looking only inside, begin at the skin — and let “health” mean more.
An XPRIZE submission exploring how the brief wet phase of skin during washing could serve as an upstream input for whole-body reorganization.

Plain summary
For generations, health has been defined by what happens inside — molecules, cells, and organs.
We propose a complementary starting point: the skin, especially in the short moment when it is wet.
This is one of the most frequent, controllable events in human life.
In that instant, posture, sensation, and internal signaling appear to shift together.
If standardized and reproduced, this overlooked moment could become a simple, daily entry point into human health at scale.
・What we study: The wet-phase interface of skin.
・Why it matters: If reproducible, it reframes health from being only internal to also beginning at the surface.
・Where we are: Early pilot studies are underway, with global participation envisioned.
Why now
Animal rejuvenation often succeeds. In humans, it stalls.
XPRIZE has called for overlooked, testable ideas.
We present one that has always been in plain sight: skin when it is wet.
What could shift if this works
・Definition of health: Expanded from molecules to surface inputs.
・Access: A routine as simple as washing, dignified and non-invasive.
・Scale: A universal act becoming a measurable entry point for public health.
・Participation: Not only researchers, but ordinary citizens can contribute.
Evidence pathway
Our pilot explores whether short, standardized routines around washing can reveal measurable whole-body changes within minutes.
・Methods: Before/after imaging with anatomical landmarks
・Expected observations: micro-corrections in posture, reduced asymmetry in muscle tone, wider facial movement, subjective alertness
・Quantitative thresholds and implementation details remain internal for review.
Ethics & privacy
・Non-invasive; participants may stop anytime.
・Anonymization options available.
・Research only; no sales, no cosmetic framing.
